A full review of your child’s past and present records is completed to gain a clear understanding of their needs. I will connect with you to learn about your family’s and child’s strengths and struggles. We will work together to identify any questions, concerns, and areas in need of support. After the initial review, services may include evaluation referrals (medical and/or educational), 1:1 direct community therapy, attending IEP/504 meetings, school observations, and collaboration with teachers and providers. This process includes advocating on your child’s behalf, and ensuring plans are fully implemented both in and out of school.
This includes support and guidance regarding resources and services available to your child within the school system, as well as outside providers and programs. Further support may include consultation on academic course decisions and determining the academic path that aligns with your child and best supports their developmental, social, and emotional needs.
Assistance & guidance in identifying a new school (in or out of district) or program that is the best fit for your child’s needs is offered. Support through the transition process, including attending meetings with school administration and advocating for updated IEP needs is provided. To ensure best fit and needs are being met, joining families on school tours, as well as school observations once the child is enrolled, is offered.
